Introduction

The west coast of Ireland is a walkers paradise. Why not come to the edge of Europe, and let us guide you through a magnificent and mystical landscape? There are rambling country lanes to discover, breathtaking coastal paths, ancient pilgrim routes, ribbon like mountain tracks and the moors of Connemara richly scented with flora and fauna.

The walks are suitable for most people who are relatively fit and should be within the capabilities of most. A certain amount of flexibility is allowed in the programme to allow for slower pace or bad weather. The walking pace is moderate with adequate stops for sightseeing, photographs and lunch.

Your Accommodation:
In Westport your accommodation is at our family-run B&B which is located 5 kilometres on the coast road that runs towards Louisburgh and 3 minutes drive from the Sheebeen pub and restaurant, distinctive by its thatched roof. The accommodation comprises of a mixture of twin and double bedrooms with private facilities. There are also a couple of single bedrooms with bathrooms next door. We do not charge a single supplement for guests who wish to occupy these two rooms.
A drying room for wet walking boots and jackets is also on site as is a 16-seat bus that will take you into town in the evenings. Guests will be have to arrange their own transport home but this costs between €6 and €8.

Centre Based Holidays:
Relax fully and avoid the problem of all that packing and unpacking everyday.

Westport:
Westport is an ideal location for a week long holiday as it has so much to offer.
One of Ireland's few 19th century planned towns its history goes back to the mid 18th century when the Browne family employed the well know architect James Wyatt. The tree lined streets that run along the Mall river and the lovely shop fronts make it a very pleasant town to visit. Westport has also been voted Ireland's tidiest town three times.
